Living the God Girl Life - A Series!
Hi Girls!
I'm really excited to be sharing this blog post. It has been on my heart to share how special it is to be a "God Girl". This year, one of my resolutions was to be more committed to Him. Spending more time with Jesus. Seeking His face. Over the last few weeks, I have been desperately seeking Him and have realised how IMPORTANT it is to spend time with Him! After all, we are to be His servants sharing Him with the world, right?
So, I came up with the term "God Girl", to put it into perspective that we are meant to be His girl, His princess. We are meant to shine His glory through our lives. And in becoming a God Girl we can truly understand the purpose of our lives through Jesus Christ.
"So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord- who is the spirit makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."
- 2 Corinthians 3:18
Today, we are going to be focusing on what it means to be a "God Girl"..lets get started!
What does it mean to be a "God Girl"?
1. To dedicate our lives to God. 💕
"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"- 2 Corinthians 5:17
2. To truly understand that our purpose it to be set apart as His servant. 💕
"Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires".- Romans 13:14
3. To set yourself apart from the world, and know that you were chosen for something better! 💕
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."- Romans 12:2
4. Putting Him first in everything you do.💕
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." - Colossians 3:23
5. Making Him the centre in our lives.💕
"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him."- Romans 12:1
6. Reflecting His light on others.💕
"In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. "- Matthew 5:1
Being a God Girl is such an honour. You are giving up your life to gain "eternal" life with our king...how amazing is that? When we truly submit ourselves to God, we automatically become His servant. It is when we take that step of faith to seek Him and further His kingdom through everything we do when we become a God Girl...there's a difference.. But its a choice if you devote yourself to Him... are you willing to give everything up for Him? Its totally worth it!
